Hello Second Trimester!

Today I'm 14 weeks pregnant, and I feel pretty good. I've been sleeping a lot on my days off. I can easily sleep 10 hours a night. I might as well get all the sleep now before the baby comes. My thyroid lab came back as "barely normal" which mean its in the edge of the normal range. So the nurse asked me to monitor my tiredness. She said that sleeping 8-10 hours a night is perfectly normal for a pregnant women, and I should get more energy in the second trimester.
Another thing that I've noticed is that sometimes I get "maternal amnesia." Last week I made a big pot of spaghetti and forgot to put the leftovers in the refrigerator. The next day I woke up and found the spoiled noodles still sitting on the stove. I was so made at myself for wasting all that food. And then on Saturday I brought my postal vehicle key home with me. Thankfully my supervisor didn't make me bring it back that same day.
Jeremy is working out of town this week. So I've been doing some spring cleaning and taking walks with my next door neighbor. I've been thinking of ways to decorate the babies room. But I think that might have to be put on hold until we find out if its a girl or boy.

Second Ultrasound

This ultrasound took place a week after the first ultrasound. The doctor took measurements of the babies fluid behind the neck to rule out down syndrome. The results for down syndrome and trisomy 18 came back negative. The doctor said I have a 1 in 10,000 chance to having a baby with those birth deflects.

First Ultrasound

These are my first ultrasound pictures. It was amazing watching the baby move and twist right in front of me. The ultrasound dated the baby at 11 weeks and 3 days.

Baby Ramer is 13 weeks 3 days today

I'm starting a blog so our friends and family can be updated on our soon-to-be new addition. Jeremy and I are really excited about starting a family together. After 8 1/2 years together we are making the big leap to have a baby.
