Thanksgiving 2011

We went to Reno to Jeremy's Uncle and Aunt house for Thanksgiving. Here are a few pics while I was trying to entertain Madelyn. She only ate corn and a few bites of stuffing and turkey with gravy. And of course she loved pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree up and decorated this weekend. Madelyn had a lot of fun putting the ornaments on the tree.

At the zoo Madelyn went on her first carousel ride. So wasn't sure if she liked it at first, but soon she was saying, "Whee!" At the petting zoo, one of the sheep head butting Madelyn in the stomach. I was kinda mad that they let mean animals in the children's petting zoo.

San Fransisco Zoo

We took Madelyn to the San Fransisco Zoo a few weeks ago. I thought that this zoo was much better than the Sacramento zoo. They had a lot a big animals and the weather was perfect. When we first got there we were able to watch the bears during their feeding time. First they found food under cardboard boxes. Then they went fishing for live fish in their pond.

Madelyn's 1st swim class

We took Madelyn to her first week of swim classes. She really liked the water and enjoyed her classes. She did everything the teacher asked beside blow bubble under water.

Madelyn 18 Months

Madelyn turned 18 months old on the 23rd. She's now 1 1/2 years old! She's growing up too fast. Before I know it, she's going to be in preschool, then kindergarten.
At her well baby check-up, she weighed in at 24 lbs and was 31.75 inches tall. The percentiles for Madelyn's weight and height has dropped considerably since her 12 month check up. She is now in the 48th for weight and 54th for height. However her large head is way up in the 90th percentile. I still think she is tall for her age even if the growth chart says differently.
I'm looking forward to Easter coming up! I'm not sure what we're doing yet. But I can't wait to see little Madelyn hunting for eggs. I already got her a few more used books for her Easter basket. A kid can never have enough books right?
