22 weeks!

22 weeks down... 18 weeks or so to so! I've been been slowly preparing for the baby's arrival. Over the weekend Jeremy and I bought nursery paint for our well known "blue room." I picked out a nice creamy vanilla color. I originally wanted the walls greens, however I've been picking out a lot of green accents and I did not want green on green.
A couple of nights ago I dreamed that the baby was already here, it was a girl by the way. I kept waking up in the middle of the night to check up on the baby. I woke up like five times to look into the bassinet next to our bed. I kept dreaming that her diaper needed to be changed and then realized that she wasn't here yet and I needed to go back to bed.
My tummy is getting a lot bigger, my belly button is lowly disappearing. I notice that people look at me all the time now. Either at work or just walking through the supper market. Jeremy and I went to a birthday dinner for a friend last Saturday. One mother asked how far along I was and she said that I look small. And the same day another person asked me if I'm sure I'm not carrying twins!

Bassinet

Here is a picture of our new bassinet. Its off white and green, very gender natural. And a picture of a wall art quilt that I just finished. My mom got me the quilt kit and helped with the colors and cutouts. It took over a year to finish but I'm pleasantly surprised how good it looks with my dragonfly bedroom.

20 Week Ultrasound

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday. The doctor said that the baby looks really good. The baby weighs only 13 oz. The gender was a disappointment to say. I thought I was seeing something in between the legs, but the doctor said that was the umbilical card. The doctor said 80% its a girl. Jeremy and I were thinking of getting a 3-D ultrasound done. But after I researched the prices I think the sex is going to be a surprise until birth. I think that it a surprise baby will be fun and exciting. But its really hard to buy cloths and bedding if you don't know if its a boy or girl.
Jeremy and I are both getting excited about the baby. We registered for baby stuff at Target. I would like to have a baby shower in Eureka, but that's still in the works. Yesterday we also bought a used bassinet for less than half of the retail cost. I already washed the shirt and wiped it down with a Clorox cleaner. I'm happy with it because its like brand new and we got it for cheap.

20 weeks! Half way there!

I'm excited because I am now 20 weeks pregnant, which is the half way point of my pregnancy. Pictures are funny to take because I don't feel like I'm that big until I see it on my camera. Jeremy was sticking out his tummy to show his sympathy weight. I've gained almost 10 lbs so far, which is on track to the average 30 lb weight gain. Jeremy is scared that I wont be able to lose the baby weight. I've had to explain to him that my blood has doubled, and that I'm carrying a lot of extra fluid.
I'm looking forward to my ultrasound on Friday. It might be the last one that I have in this pregnancy. We hope that the baby is in the good position to find out the gender. After ward's I think we're going to register for baby stuff at Target. It will be a lot easier ti pick out all the gear if we know what it is

Sick bug anyone?

I've been feeling sick for the past week. But I'm finally getting over my bug. The first couple of days were horrible. I had muscle aches, night sweats, a low fever, sore throat, cough, etc. I haven't been eating enough calories to make the baby happy. All I want is to eat breakfast and then lots of water for the rest of the day. So I've been making myself eat snacks during out the day.
I've been feeling different kinds of fetal movement this week. It feels like air bubbles popping underneath my skin. Its a lot more noticeable when I rest my hand on my lower belly. I can't wait until Jeremy can feel the baby move too!
P.S. One week til we find out if its a boy or girl!
