Belly Pictures ~4 months

Here are some belly pictures at almost 18 weeks pregnant. Some days I feel small and other days I feel like I'm going to pop. The other day a co-worker said "congratulations!" And I asked who told him and he said, "well, its kinda obvious, I knew you weren't just getting fat. I live with three women myself." I really don't care if people at work know that I'm expecting (But I did hid it during the 1st trimester). I was kinda happy that people are figuring it out by themselves. Everyone seems very positive and supportive. They think that I'm at a perfect age to start a family. Everyone asks how I'm feeling and if there's any news about the baby.

3 weeks til we know if it a boy or girl!

I had a prenatal appointment yesterday with a midwife. Nothing really exciting is going on, but I did scheduled my next ultrasound on May 15th. Its going to be on a Friday so Jeremy can come this time. He has missed all of my appointments and this might be my last ultrasound. Hopefully we can find out the sex of the baby at this ultrasound. Its hard to look at baby cloths in the department store and not know what you're having. Jeremy really want a boy, he only thinks of baby boy names. So hopefully we wont be disappointed if its a girl.

Happy Easter

Easter has come and gone. Jeremy's youngest brother Mike and his girlfriend Lexi came to Sacramento to visit over the Easter weekend. On Easter morning we went to Ginger's house for breakfast. We ate yummy breakfast burritos at my request. And then drove to Reno, NV to visit with more of Jeremy's family. The drive is really pretty as you pass Donner Lake. You can see rail road tracks winding through the snow covered mountains.
Not much has changed with the baby. Sometimes I feel jabs in my lower belly when I'm laying down. Baby books says that first time moms don't normally feel fetal movement this early. One of my baby books describes fetal movement as fluttering, like a butterfly is inside of you. I haven't felt any fluttering or quickening. My next prenatal appointment on next Tuesday with a nurse midwife. I'll see if she thinks that I'm feeling real fetal movement or just some weird digestion jabs and pokes.
My clothing options are dwindling since I'm still wearing my old wardrobe. I found a belly band that I can wear with my pre-pregnancy jeans. But I think that I'll soon have to buy maternity cloths. Especially with the hot summer months coming up. I need some maternity shorts and tank tops.

15 weeks and new stroller & car seat

Today, we're 15 weeks pregnant. It seems like only yesterday I found out that we were expecting.
The other day Jeremy and I made our first big baby purchase. We got a Chicco travel system in black and gray. We almost bought one in red and gray, but it was too boyish. I liked the black because it looks sleek and is versatile. The store is giving us a free extra base to put in another car because they're out of stock until June. I've looked at cheaper car seats, but wasn't impressed. I didn't want a car seat that looked like it was going to break. This one is super easy to take in and out of the base and stroller. And it fits babies up to 30 pounds (normal car seats fits 22 lbs).
I've gotten more energy the past weeks or so. It was like an on/off switch. I'm blessed to have the energy to clean the house and prepare for the baby. I've been crocheting, quilting, walking and reading baby books in my spare time. Pretty soon I'll clean out my craft room to make room for baby furniture. I'm still deciding if I want to get a crib now or a couple of months after the baby is born. I want to the baby to sleep in the same room as me for 6 months because it reduces the risk of SIDS.
