Today, we're 15 weeks pregnant. It seems like only yesterday I found out that we were expecting.
The other day Jeremy and I made our first big baby purchase. We got a Chicco travel system in black and gray. We almost bought one in red and gray, but it was too boyish. I liked the black because it looks sleek and is versatile. The store is giving us a free extra base to put in another car because they're out of stock until June. I've looked at cheaper car seats, but wasn't impressed. I didn't want a car seat that looked like it was going to break. This one is super easy to take in and out of the base and stroller. And it fits babies up to 30 pounds (normal car seats fits 22 lbs).
I've gotten more energy the past weeks or so. It was like an on/off switch. I'm blessed to have the energy to clean the house and prepare for the baby. I've been crocheting, quilting, walking and reading baby books in my spare time. Pretty soon I'll clean out my craft room to make room for baby furniture. I'm still deciding if I want to get a crib now or a couple of months after the baby is born. I want to the baby to sleep in the same room as me for 6 months because it reduces the risk of SIDS.

Yeah, we'll have the baby sleep in our room in a bassinet until he/she's sleeping through the night, then we'll move him/her in with Josiah.
ReplyDeleteYay for 15 weeks!!!
I love that you have a baby blog, so hi-tech of you. WARNING! be careful about babies sleeping with you, it is hard to get them out. While it seems nice and convenient, after awhile you missing things like the room to roll over, and what your arms used to feel like before they were asleep all the time. Kalea still falls asleep in our bed and I have to move her into her room every night for the rest of our lives!!
